Goosebumps

The book I am reading is called Goosebumps written by R.L Stine and the genre is fiction. The book takes place in a place called Wheeler Falls. The main characters names are Stephanie Alpert and  Duane Comack and they call themselves the "Twins of Terror" so they must be siblings but they live across the street from each other and trade lunches with each other at school even thought their parents pack the same things for them. They both go out at night and put on masks to go scare kids by going to their windows and staring at them or leaving rubber body parts and sometimes the kids are to scared to leave their houses.

The two kids love to scare people but they refuse to go around "The Hill House" because it's haunted. It was built two hundred years ago by a sea captain. In that house they have tours which are guided by a man named Otto and on Halloween night the kids decided to go check out the inside of the Hill House and they join a tour with Otto and go inside the building and the kids separated from the group to go look for stuff to do in the Hill House.

While they are in there they find a head which belonged to a boy that was their and the ghost of the captain decapitated the boy and left the boy to go find his head and has been there ever since going room to room every Halloween night but the kids did not know this so they kept looking around the house and they got scared and they left the house to see cops in the driveway and the kids told the cops that they were on tour and the cops told the children that the tours have been closed for 3 months and the kids turn around to see Otto holding a lantern and not alive.

I liked this book because it's a scary type of books and I like books like that because sometimes they can be scary or they can be scary but funny to read them. I would recommend this book to people that like scary movies and funny books cause it's was a mix of both genres and the part I remember most was the end when Otto was revealed to be a ghost.
